Mirror mirror on the wall

When Raewyn shifted houses to live by the beach, she discovered that the mirror which had looked great in the entrance of the previous home really didn't suit their new home. However, they loved the mirror and were keen to give it a new lease of life. So, when time allowed, they visited the local Resene ColorShop for some inspiration to transform the mirror.

The Resene ColorShop staff were very helpful and so began a fun project! The Resene paints made the distressed mirror come alive. Metallic Resene Silver Aluminium added a touch of glam, while Resene Pelorous worked in with other colours of the sea and Resene Quarter Alabaster gave the mirror a much-needed lift.

After painting just one corner of the mirror, they hung it back on the wall to see how it was looking. They were delighted at the improvement and couldn't wait to get it finished! Much patience was needed, and care taken with the finer points, of which there were many!

The result is a much lighter and brighter mirror, with the frame highlighted to show off the delicate and intricate details which previously went largely unnoticed. The mirror now reflects life at the beach!
