Colour WheelResene Colour Wheels

The colour wheel is designed to simplify colour selection, allowing users to work to basic colour scheme guidelines, such as complementary, split complementary and analogous, to quickly develop colour schemes. Learn how to use a colour wheel. Resene colour wheels are available from Resene ColorShops or order your copy from our online shop.

Colours are a representation only. Please refer to the actual paint or product sample. Resene colour charts, testpots and samples are available for ordering online.   See measurements/conversions for more details on how electronic colour values are achieved.

Resene grey isolators
Viewing colours on colour charts can be very disconcerting with stronger hues reflecting their inner beauty onto less dazzling neighbouring hues, making it difficult for even the most experienced colour professional to assess the true hue.

Resene has for many years offered customers Resene grey isolators to screen out the distractions of neighbouring colours when viewing charts. Be sure to isolate your colour the next time you make your colour selections, to ensure you are seeing the true beauty of the colour. Some colour charts, such as The Range series, come complete with inbuilt grey isolators. For those that don't, the Resene grey isolators are available free from Resene ColorShops and resellers.

Clear lids for testpots

Quick view

Resene testpots 60mL are made with a handy view window in the top of each testpot so you can see which colour is which without having to open them all up. You can order testpots online or at your local Resene ColorShop Always remember: Wet paint does not look identical to dry paint so the colour through the viewing hole is just a guideline of the colour. Once dry the colour may look a little different so always use the Resene colour charts or the colour library folders to view the colour when dry.
