Resene Bio-Cleaner is a quick and easy way to clean surfaces ready for painting or use annually to give homes and buildings a fresh look by washing away dirt and contaminants that may be present. Formulated with eugenol, the active ingredient in clove oil, which helps to inhibit mould and fungal regrowth.

Resene Broadwall 3 in 1

Ranchsliders, massive windows, super smooth finishes and monolithic walls are a headache for many causing critical light conditions and less than perfect finishes on walls as the glancing light shines a spotlight on any surface imperfections. Often the problem is only evident for a short period each day when the light is at a certain angle. The situation is made worse when the level of finish is insufficient, such as a Level 4 finish when a Level 5 finish is needed. To achieve a Level 5 finish the entire surface of the paperfaced plasterboard and stopping should be skimcoated. This can be achieved by brush or roller with Resene Broadwall Surface Prep or by specialist spray application with Resene Broadwall 3 in 1.

Resene Broadwall 3 in 1 is designed for use over stopped and jointed wall systems in place of traditional surfacers and sealers. It equalises surface porosities; smoothes minor surface irregularities; minimises textural differences. A key element to achieving a Level 5 finish on paperfaced plasterboard. Suitable for use as a surfacer, sealer, and finish coat on ceilings in dry areas tinted to a range of popular Resene off-white and neutral colours.

Resene Broadwall Surface Prep & Seal

Resene Broadwall Surface Prep & Seal is a high-build basecoat designed for roller application over stopped and jointed wall systems. It equalises surface porosities, smooths minor surface irregularities, minimises textural differences, seals the surface and provides a superb base for subsequent Resene finishes. It’s a key element to achieving a smooth, uniform level 5 finish on plasterboard.

Changes in the architectural design of home interiors have led to an increase in critical lighting conditions. Strong side lighting from surface mounted wall lights or windows at the end of long walls or ceilings can highlight even minor surface imperfections. These imperfections can show up as 'gloss' patches and are often blamed on the paint. It is not the paint but the surface texture of the substrate causing the problem.

Level 5 requires a skim coat to be applied over the entire wall area after stopping and smoothing out joints and nail holes. It has been recognised as too difficult to properly seal the surface of wallboards so the approach is to apply a skim coat of Resene Broadwall Surface Prep & Seal to ensure that every part of the wall is equally flat and porous.

Resene Brushable Crack Filler

When hairline cracks strike they destroy the striking good looks of the paint finish. Simple application of multiple coats of elastomeric Resene Brushable Crack Filler across the crack will resolve the imperfection and banish it from view with a minimum of fuss. Elastomeric Resene Brushable Crack Filler is a convenient way to deal with small cracks in concrete buildings, which may still be cyclically moving up to 25%. It is designed to handle cracks up to a maximum of 2mm wide before overcoating with the recommended paint system. Simple application of multiple coats of Resene Brushable Crack Filler across the crack will resolve the imperfection and banish it from view with a minimum of fuss.

Resene Deep Clean is a simple, safe method of keeping all your outdoor areas free from moss, mould, algae and lichen. Simply spray or brush on and leave Resene Deep Clean and nature to do the work. Slow acting Resene Deep Clean gets right down to the roots of the problem, destroying the growth and combining with U.V light and rain to weather off the remains to leave a Resene Deep Clean surface. Ideal for use on paths, patios, decks and other exterior cementitious, timber and painted surfaces.

Resene Emulsifiable Solvent Cleaner

Resene Emulsifiable Solvent Cleaner is a blend of solvents specifically designed to dissolve oil and greasy residues on surfaces prior to painting. May be rinsed with clean water to produce a totally grease-free surface. Used prior to steam cleaning it is the best pre-treatment of smoke damaged surfaces.

If the surface you are planning to coat, such as weatherboards, is sound, a quick wash down with new Resene Paint Prep and Housewash to clean the surface, followed by drying time and then your selected topcoat system, is all you need. Leave maintenance work too long and the preparation work required multiplies rapidly. Poorly adhering coatings require extensive surface preparation to remove them and provide a sound surface for painting.

Resene Limelock

Resene Limelock is a preparatory coating used for the curing and sealing of cementitious substrates. It promotes curing by producing a water barrier, which unlike traditional curing membranes, may be overcoated with waterborne finishes at any stage. Its ability to cure and seal the substrate eliminates the need to leave the plaster to cure for seven days before painting. It may be applied by the plasterer to promote cure or by the painter who wants to ensure the surface is sealed. When dark, heat absorbing topcoats are planned, it is still prudent to wait seven days before painting. Resene Limelock traps free lime in the cementitious substrate protecting the paint finish against the appearance of unsightly lime staining, and providing a perfect base for subsequent Resene finishes. Resene Limelock is designed to be overcoated. It is considered part of the surface preparation process and should be applied as soon as possible over plaster systems to achieve maximum potential.

• Cementitious surfaces, including concrete, render, stucco and thin layer polymer modified plaster.
