Personality plus

Many years later, the home has been renovated, turning it into an entertainers dream, and a place that the family constantly returns to as a base. The renovation added all the modern elements of new housing, but the design was kept very much with a bach lifestyle in mind.

Personality was key for this property. The house was originally a cobalt blue, and carried its own identity in the surrounding area. When renovating they wanted to keep that same personality with a new take.

With being so close to the ocean, rusty colours take their own element.  Working with that Resene Pioneer Red was chosen as the main colour body of the home, paired with Resene Alabaster white for the trim to create a very clean colour contrast.

Being a vibrant red pigment, the owner and their colour expert, Anna Major, were careful to choose the red from the Resene Roof Systems colour collection, and tint the product into Resene Summit Roof paint.
