Going on a painting spree

She was tired of her lounge feature wall in Resene Sunshade so spent a long weekend painting.

Resene Quarter Spanish White was already on the adjacent walls, so Raewyn chose Resene Half Truffle as her new feature colour.

New colour was introduced to furniture, with the chest upcycled using Resene Juniper and the TV support upcycled with Resene Kombi mixed 50:50 with Resene Aquaclear. The drawers are painted with Resene Half Truffle and then Raewyn mixed Resene Double Fossil with clear finish to distress all the furniture pieces. She painted the desk with Resene Masala. The colour inspiration came from a kilim rug and homemade lampshades.

In recent months, external doors have been painted in Resene Smoke Tree to go with the Resene Schooner and Resene Mondo exterior. The laundry has been renovated with Resene Eighth Spanish White walls and Resene Quarter Spanish White on the trims. The ensuite was painted Resene Green White.

The kitchen was purchased a couple of years ago and had some gaps to fill. It was updated with drawer fronts painted in Resene Gingko and Resene Triple Stonehenge.

While Raewyn hasn’t finished all the painting, she is overjoyed with the results so far. The whole family love the relaxed, quirky, vibrant vibe of the house!
