Ready for something dramatic

Caroline loved the inky tones of Resene Jaguar and thought it was a great alternative to black. Once the wall was painted Caroline started to think about what colours would be most complementary and decided on gold and white.

She took her time choosing the art for the feature wall; it needed to be warming, yet stand out against such a strong backdrop. Caroline was thrilled when she stumbled across the heart print on canvas and had it framed. The metallic calfskin was bought from Collected, which added another great hit of gold. Both avid readers needed to incorporate books somehow. They love the illusion of the floating bookshelves! The cross stich is bespoke. It was made by a good friend as a house warming present. It shows all the places they have lived, separate and apart.
