The unpleasant discovery of a slow leaking hot water pipe in the shower wall lead to a total rebuild of this bathroom, hallway and upon completion inspired the dramatic colour change of the house exterior.
The Gillies family carried out the renovations/painting themselves and after many long weekends of work are thrilled with the result.
Husband Fraser, an Architectural Designer, redesigned and rebuilt the bathroom. Resene paint was used in all applications with Resene Half Black White on the bathroom walls and ceiling and Resene Black Sheep on cupboards.
Hallway colours are juxtaposed with Resene Half Mondo and Resene Double Cougar wrapping around and including the end cupboards.The exterior of the house looked tired and stuck in the 80s so with the bathroom reinvigorated it was time to roll up their sleeves and start painting. Resene Bokara Grey Resene CoolColour™ (replacing the boring white) has been used on all pergolas, walls and fences. It has dramatically changed the house giving a modern svelte look. Using a darker CoolColour has the added bonus of far less maintenance required in keeping the exterior clean and white.
