Taumarunui
This Californian style bungalow/villa in Taumarunui was an exceptional looking property, well maintained with lovely grounds to match.
The villa has over 50 windows, brick pillars to enter, a pagoda car port, shingles under windows that wrapped around the front of the house, with a sprinkling of stained glass also.
The roof was an old green/brown decramastic tile that needed to remain. To match the new addition as best as possible, Resene Summit Roof in Resene Touchstone was used. The old gutters and barge were white so the roof colour was extended over the gutter and bargeboard which changed the look completely. All other colours fell into place nicely, which made the windows in Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel tinted to Resene Black White really pop.
Resene Sonyx 101 in Resene Quarter Bison Hide on the walls was a complementary neutral teamed with Resene Double Bison Hide on textured areas such as the shingles and brick work to add contrast and interest.
The interior is also home to soothing neutrals of Resene Quarter Merino and Resene Rakaia.
