This new concept store located within Westfield Newmarket is the place where the new Max all comes together – where vision, community focus and new designs all meet.
The store is a long time vision finally bought to life, that pays homage to the modern New Zealand woman. It’s a space for people to come together, to dwell and discover and where new product ranges feel at home.
The fit-out emphasises natural, simplistic furnishing to create a warm, inviting environment. Foliage and indoor trees by Babylon Gardens complement the array of local artisan product available for purchase. A three metre high olive tree features in the store’s centre.
The fitting rooms have been designed with comfort in mind. Spacious and contemporary, the store was designed from the back forwards with a third of the store’s floor space allocated to the fitting room space. Here shoppers will also find a styling suite and a herbal tea sampling bar.
Inspiration for the new look came from the customer and the product, they were at the heart of all of the design decisions. Soft earthy tones and colours are complemented by natural materials including stone, cork timber and linen. The walls are finished in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen in Resene Wan White and the ceiling in the soft soothing hue of Resene SpaceCote Flat in Resene Robin Egg Blue. The fitting room area is finished in Resene Grain Brown using Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen and Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel. A console unit adds a punch of colour finished in vivid aqua Resene Paradise, also in a semi-gloss finish.
