OOOOs and XXXXs - XXXX Brewery MiltonParting with relics of time gone by can tug at the heartstrings of the best of us as we are immersed in the nostalgia of an earlier era. Loathe to part with the big wheel and piston that served as the refrigeration compressor between 1919-1972, XXXX Brewery in Milton Brisbane decided to blend the old with the new, integrating the previously obsolete machine parts into their landscaping plan as a mini landmark. With a diameter of 4.6 metres and a weight of 9 tonnes, it was imperative that the paint system was easy to apply. A simple two topcoat system of Resene Hi-Glo gloss acrylic tinted to Resene Turbo (bright yellow) was applied over the prepared primed surface in next to no time, providing ample protection for these XXXX artifacts in their exposed exterior environment.
