It’s easy to turn a simple flat stone into a cool pebble head with a little bit of help from Resene.
Resene kids art with Mark Rayner – Project 136
Difficulty level: Moderate
Make a pebble head
Another idea: Have fun with different looks
Top tip: Give each Resene testpot a shake before using to make sure the paint is mixed.
Here's another idea: This pebble head was painted with Resene Alabaster, Resene Black, Resene Cabaret, Resene Malibu, Resene Toffee and Resene Wax Flower.
Step one
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the stone and allow this to dry.
Step two
Paint the stone with two coats of Resene Wild West, allowing two hours for each coat of paint to dry.
Step three
Paint two eye shapes on the stone using Resene Alabaster and allow this to dry.
Step four
Paint a circle in each eye, as shown, using Resene Sambuca and allow this to dry.
Step five
Paint hair and other face details, as shown, using Resene Black and allow this to dry.
Step six
Paint a dot in each eye, as shown, using Resene Alabaster and allow this to dry. How’s that for a perfect pebble head?
