New Plymouth's Opera House redevelopment, renamed the TSB Showplace, has been painted in the specified Resene paint system in order to meet the early fire hazard indices criteria for public safety.

TSB Showplace includes a 400-seat theatre, a concert chamber that doubles as a conference centre, additional toilets and bars, and expanded foyers.

The link between the old and new has been achieved by the use of exterior primary colours and a glazed lift in the middle of the frontage.

Interior access-ways have been sealed in Resene Sureseal and topcoated in Resene Zylone Sheen while Broadwall Acrylic Sealer Undercoat followed by Resene Lumbersider have been used in other public areas.
