Artworks on corrugate
An unlikely gift from a neighbour of roofing iron was just the inspiration needed to spawn a new business for Helen Hirst in the form of artworks on corrugate.
Relying on lucky farmyard and old house site finds, the 'deck art' works reach up to one metre square. Combining the natural strength of corrugate, the enduring solidity of recycled fence posts or decking timber and Resene exterior acrylic gives a weatherproof work suitable for display inside or out. Favourite themes are drawn from nature– flowers, trees, frogs, fish or birds – melding with ease into the recycled substrate.
Hues of Resene Lima (lime green), Resene Turbo (bright yellow), Resene Chilean Fire (orange) and Resene Tory Blue (bright blue) weave their way through many works as a common thread complemented by new hues as each work commands its uniqueness. Every piece is created using Resene testpots – economical vibrancy built to last in the great outdoors.
Recycled, revived and revered by owners.
