Homeward Furniture and Homewares
Once a Furniture Court, Homeward has now successfully transitioned to a modern new look and an extended new product range to keep shoppers happy.
As a painter if you read a specification asking for Resene Non-Skid & Path on the walls, you’d be off to check what it should be. After all, Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path is a waterborne coating filled with graded silicas tinted to a range of standard colours. It’s designed for use on both concrete and bitumen to give a durable, tough, non-skid finish on all areas where foot traffic is likely.
Which begs the question why do you need a non skid product on the wall that no-one is ever going to walk on? The designer and client liked the idea of a textured wall finish and the low sheen even texture of Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path was just the style they wanted. While it is designed for horizontal surfaces it can be applied to vertical surfaces too.
The interior of the refurbished Homeward Furniture and Homewares store in Arawata Street, Te Awamutu now features walls in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen waterborne enamel tinted to Resene Alabaster (blackened white) with the textured feature wall in Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path tinted to Resene Grey Chateau (light grey).
Outside Resene Lumbersider CoolColour™ tinted to Resene Shark (deep charcoal) helps to reflect more of the sun’s energy than a standard paint finish keeping the paint finish and substrate cooler. Aluminium windows are finished in the matching Resene Shark tinted into Resene Uracryl 402 for maximum durability.
