To provide visual continuity in the remodelled villa, the designer specified varying depths of a single colour on both levels of the house.

Resene Tea features on walls on the main floor, with the ceilings, skirting boards and architraves painted in Resene Quarter Tea.

Fireplace: Walls in the formal living room are painted in Resene Tea, a warm neutral shade that makes a subtle backdrop to artworks and furnishings. The chimney wall, ceilings and architraves are painted in Resene Quarter Tea. Hallway: The hallway and other rooms on the main floor, including the family room are also painted in Resene Tea and Quarter Tea. The flooring features blonded recycled kauri planks.

Goran Mitrovic says walls in the basement floor are painted in Resene Half Tea to provide a lighter interior. All these shades are from the Resene The Range Whites & Neutrals fandeck.

“Resene Tea is a warm shade that complements the floor and furnishings, and is very easy to live with,” Mitrovic says. “I have specified Resene paints consistently over the past 10 years – for reliability and the colour palette.”

Resene Zylone Sheen was the paint type chosen for the interior. This low-odour waterborne finish is Environmental Choice-approved paint. It provides a durable, washable finish, with a slight sheen that helps minimise surface imperfections. This makes Resene Zylone Sheen well suited to both older and new homes.
