It’s easy to give an old wooden deck chair a new lease of life with a little bit of help from Resene.
Ways with wood with Mark Rayner – Project 70
Difficulty level: Moderate
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Reverie.
Other ideas: For a fresh green effect paint the deck chair with Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Parsley.
Step one
Wash the wooden parts of the deck chair with warm soapy water and allow to dry.
Step two
Lightly sand the wooden parts of the deck chair sanding in the direction of the grain.
Step three
Wipe off any sanding residue with a clean cloth.
Step four
Carefully stir the Resene Quick Dry.
Step five
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the wooden parts of the deck chair and allow to dry.
Step six
Carefully stir the Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Danube.
Step seven
Apply one coat of Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Danube to the wooden parts of the deck chair and allow to dry.
Step eight
Apply a second coat of Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Danube to the wooden parts of the deck chair and allow to dry.
