With a taste of summer

After a generation of neutrals, colour is making a strong comeback in our homes. And it's not just accessories providing the wow factor – colourful kitchen cabinets and splashbacks are also turning heads.

This kitchen by award-winning designer Mal Corboy teams Resene Whizz Bang – a bright burnt orange – with Resene Kumutoto, a soft sea blue. The blue cabinets complement a bamboo pattern imprinted on glass.

Karen Warman, Resene marketing manager, says people are becoming a lot more adventurous when it comes to colour.

"They want their homes to be a little different," she says. "They are not afraid to make a statement with their home interiors, and they want these to reflect their personalities."
