How to make your own cards
to celebrate St Patricks Day
Step 1
For this project you need four toilet rolls. Start by flattening them and then forming them into a heart shape.
Step 2
Hold the rolls all together so that the bottom of the heart shape is pointing into the centre and then use some sellotape to stick them all together.
Step 3
Use a small paintbrush to dab on some Resene Clover on to one end of the rolls. Press the rolls on to your card. You may need to touch up some areas with a small paintbrush.
Step 4
Add on a stalk and use Resene Gold Dust to write on a greeting. Experiment with filling in the clover with paint – Fleur used more Resene Clover, Resene Amulet and some Resene Gold Dust for highlights.
Top tip: You don’t have to use brand new card for your greeting card. Instead paint over any old paper or card you had planned to recycle with leftover white Resene paint, allow to dry and then apply your clover design.
