Habitat bright ideas with Fleur Thorpe – DIY projects
Bring Easter to your table with treats to share with family and friends with this centrepiece that makes Easter eggs the star.
How to make your own Easter hanging egg treat holders
Step 1
Start by painting the inside of each of the eggs with Resene Apache. Once this has dried, paint over this with two coats of Resene Gold Dust.
Step 2
Paint the outside of the eggs each in a different colour. Fleur used Resene Retro, Resene Mai Tai, Resene Lucky Point, Resene Red Berry and Resene Belladonna.
Step 3
Use a thin craft paintbrush to paint on small stars with Resene Gold Dust.
Step 4: Fill each of the eggs with small chocolate Easter eggs and hang them in a branch in a vase as a centrepiece at a table.
Top tip: Use Resene White and Resene Nightlight glow-in-the-dark to paint your stars for a soft starry effect that will glow then softly wane when the lights go out.
