Habitat bright ideas with Fleur Thorpe – DIY projects
Create a personal gift for a garden loving dad that will help him in the garden.
Make DIY veggie garden labels as gifts for Father’s Day:
Step 1
For this project you will need 6 wooden spoons.
Step 2
Start by painting on the basic shape of each of your vegetables. Fleur used Resene Poppy for the tomato and strawberry, Resene Kamikaze for the carrot, Resene Pirate Gold for the corn, Resene Tree Frog for the lettuce and Resene Parsley for the zucchini.
Step 3
Next, paint on the stems and leaves of the vegetables with Resene Tree Frog and Resene Parsley.
Step 4
Finish off the vegetables by painting on the extra detail and outlining each of them with Resene Black.
Step 5
Finally, write on the name of each vegetable with some more Resene Black paint. Finish each wooden spoon in Resene Clearcoat UVS to help protect the paint finish and allow to dry. Poke in the soil, and enjoy!
