Background to mural creation:
When KiwiRail rebuilt the bridge 91 rail bridge in Te Puke, they created some great new concrete walls under the bridge that are perfect for graffiti or a community mural. Local graffiti quickly took over the space. As the bridge underpass is part of the Te Ara Kahikatea Cycleway/Walkway, many of the users did not like the graffiti. So, the mural team created a pretty mural that is more pleasing to the eye.
