Background to mural creation:
The kaupapa was to create a mural based on the PB4L equipment to encourage students to care, share and play fair. The school icon, Saltie Seagull, is watching students ‘Soar for Excellence’. Artistically the students brainstormed composition ideas and decided to use the spaces created inside the PB4L letters as a playground. They used spaces to match the shapes of the figures. During the mural creation, students also learnt painting techniques.
