Background to mural creation:
This mural explores the school motto which is Ruia Taitea – stand tall. Each whanau (Kowhai, Rimu, Matai, Totara and Nikau) was represented by a segment of the tree. The whole tree celebrates unity as a school. Each student who worked on the mural represented themselves with their own personalised drawing on their segment of their whanau.
