“This garment is a celebration of personal growth and resilience. Inspired by my life’s journey, it pays homage to the places I’ve travelled, the lessons I’ve learned and the emotions I’ve experienced. It reflects the duality of life, capturing both the sunny and dark times, the highs and lows, and the constant state of change.

My look draws inspiration from the mighty ocean and its restless waves. The waves symbolize the ebb and flow of life, representing faith, hope and joy even in the face of adversity. Live waves, our emotions can be powerful and unpredictable, but we have the ability to navigate and ride them. Embracing the beauty and strength found in the constant movement of our lives.

The colour blue symbolises trust and stability. This hue resonates deeply with people, evoking feelings of security and permanence. Blue serves as a reminder that despite life’s uncertainties, there are always moment of calm and reassurance to be found.

I want to highlight the hidden rigidness and underlying structure of the waves. Through my design I showcase the string independent women in my life and how no obstacles are too big or too hard enough for them to fight front on, showing resilience and strength.

This garment celebrates the intricate dance between structure and fluidity, capturing the beauty and strength found in life’s unpredictable journey. Through the embodiment of waves, this look serves as a reminder that every experience, from the small ripples to the crashing tides, contributes to the person we become. It encourages the wearer to embrace change, trust their resilience and celebrate the constant ebb and flow of life.”
