Colour: Resene Moscato

"Sunbeams.

When I think of Moscato I think of elegance and sophistication, but also light and fun. I wanted to keep those words and ideas in mind when it came to choosing my silhouettes.

I also wanted to reflect the name sunbeams somewhere back into the design. So I chose this pleat detail on the bodice and the flare of the skirt, which represent beams of light.

The part of Maya's story that resonated with me was 'She dreams of a place where she can skydive with shooting stars, skip over rainbows and smooch with sunbeams.'

I wanted to make my outfit something Maya would dream of wearing in this part of the story that would also link with Moscato."
