Colour: Resene Turbo

"Turbo is a bright and wonderful yellow.

After researching various yellow animals and landscapes, my mood board became a mood book which follows Maya's adventures through the process of her enlightenment.

I've carried on the theme of Maya's fairytale through to her re-emerging into a new high society, where animals take on human aspects and the landscape morphs with her changing moods.

The dress is a combination of sunshine and daffodils that Maya encountered before asking the Queen of the Finches to make for her re-entry into a Turbo world.

I wanted a contrast between structure and fluidity that encapsulates movement and grace while keeping a youthful and fun aspect."
