Colour: Resene Bright Lights

"Bright Lights of the Linear Metropolis.

I read Maya's story as if it was her life in a career aspect, yet written in a mythical way. This story told of Maya in a grey tones difficult place but after time she found herself in this magical exciting world, exactly where she wanted to be. So I understood that Maya was hard working, high spirited and determined to make something of her life and from this developed a professional career of which she had always dreamed of.

The sari is Resene Bright Lights. It is most common for people to pursue their careers and head to the 'Bright Lights, Big City' which is precisely what Maya did. The paint is excitingly successful in colour which is how she feels every day in her profession. Bright Lights portray happiness, excitement, joy and energy which are all part of Maya, her Life and career.

I was inspired by the architecture for the buildings you and I see every day in this big city of ours. I have created an outfit for the professional, successful, fashionable young woman. A versatile outfit she can host an important business meeting in, go for a lunch date or be seated at the front row of a designer fashion show. An outfit that is exciting and playful but empowers and encourages Maya to be all that she can be in the Bright Lights of the Linear Metropolis."
