Pin it up - Decorative pinboards
Like many new business ideas, the business of making decorative pinboards started at home with a very large Spiderman creation for a family member in mid 2002 as an easy way for their room to be adorned with favourite art and posters without ruining the fresh Resene Chetwode Blue paintwork. The enthusiastic reaction of friends and visitors made it clear that the idea was the start of something, so more designs were developed over the following months before the decorative pinboards business was launched at the Ngaio Plunket Toy and Craft Fair in November 2003.
Resene paint adorns each painted pinboard. Customers are typically directed to the Resene website or colour charts where they can easily view and then specify the colours they want for their pinboard, or the dècor they want the pinboard to go with. Then, depending upon the size of the pinboard, Resene testpots are used to create the pinboard in just the right colour combination.
Now in addition to over 40 of their own painted pinboard designs for bedrooms and family areas, the business has extended to painted logo noticeboards for businesses and fabric-covered noticeboards using Fabrichè materials, with the latest designs combining paint and fabric combinations. Pinboard commissions are a rapidly growing source of work as customers want to stamp their own mark on the Pin Art.
Pin Art your place and keep your paintwork looking like new.
