Pencil pleated curtains have a tape running across the top with cords running through that are pulled to achieve the desired gather and curtain width. Pencil pleated curtains have small repetitive pleats at the top which resemble the size of a pencil. These curtains are made to approximately 1.6-1.8 fullness, meaning that usually 1.6-1.8m of fabric is used for every one metre of track or rod.

Dutch pleated curtains have a double pinch pleat secured at even intervals along the heading. They are made to a fixed width to perfectly fit your curtain track or rod so are only available custom made. Dutch pleated curtains can be hung from any curtain track using hooks or from a curtain rod using rings with hooks. These curtains are made to approximately 1.8–2.0 fullness, meaning that 1.8m–2.0m of fabric is used for every one metre of track or rod.

Inverted pleated curtains have a single pleat hidden at the back, placed at even intervals along the top leaving a flat front, sometimes called a box pleat or reverse pleat,. The overall look is beautiful and quite formal. Inverted pleat curtains can be hung from any curtain track using hooks or from a curtain rod using rings with hooks. These curtains are made to approximately 1.6-1.8 fullness, meaning that between 1.6-1.8m of fabric is used for every one metre of track or rod.
