Clever fix
Recently while doing some renovating to another part of Tania's home, a window had to be removed from the bedroom and replaced with a smaller one. This meant the original wallpaper and border were damaged and couldn't be matched.

Tania didn't want to go to the expense of replacing all the wallpaper and the option of removing the paper and painting was out of the question as the house is very old and the plasterboard isn't of paintable quality. After a lot of thought, Tania decided to keep the red wallpaper at the bottom and replace the wallpaper border with a MDF dado rail. She then found an inexpensive roll of wallpaper which had the same texture but was a different colour from what was on the top of the walls.

She fixed the damaged area with the roll of wallpaper and then painted over the whole top of the room with Resene Half Tea and the doors, trims and dado rail in Resene Quarter Tea. The room now looks superb and cost very little to fix the problem caused by the window change.
