Mural Masterpieces - Pahiatua School, Heron Mural

Background to mural creation:
Each student designed and painted a 12cm square piece of hardboard tile using Maori patterns and motifs and design elements from birds. The finished tiles were attached to the heron form to give the impression of feathers.

The mural was created in time for the Pahiatua School's 50th Jubilee Celebrations held over Labour Weekend 2003.
