Background to mural creation:
This mural was created to beautify the playcentre and showcase the local area. When walking into the centre, the aim was to have something that represented the Playcentre, children and area and that excited the children to talk about what they love doing.
They are reinventing the outdoor space and the mural was the inspiration. They want to create a vibrant welcoming centre that highlights who the children and their families are. The main features on the mural being the landscape, Huntaway dog, sheep, bees, the Rangitikei river and a tractor, all of which directly influence our place.
