“As Anahera’s journey brings her to London, she is not only excited to see the fashion, she is also there on a mission to find out where the family name Zinzan originated from… as the clothes emerge in shapes and silhouettes, she loses herself in this world this so foreign, yet she feels she now knows everything about it. As she steps to the side and sees a cobbled road that paves her way, she feels calm, she feels at home.
To me this colour takes me back to my home town Taupo, it reminds me of the lake on a summer’s day, with the sun hitting the top of the water, the deep blue keeps you guessing what’s happening underneath the surface.
I think I have shown that through my garment in the way that it flows like water, as it exposes the gold it draws the eye like the sun on the lake, not knowing what movement will happen next.”
