In the night

Blue moon.  A full moon appears within the same month.  A phenomenon whereby the moon appears bluish owing to smoke or dust particles in the atmosphere.  With its gravitational pull being strong, it’s a second chance to cleanse yourself of all that no longer serves you.

Resene Blue Moon gave me an instant feeling of calmness, relaxed and stress free feeling.  Blue Moon’s colour gives off a soft and delicate feeling.  Researching behind the colour, quoted ‘A second chance to cleanse yourself.’ This quote makes me think of the feeling of being freshly cleansed after a goodnight’s sleep and in the night-time of darkness.

’In the night’.  Inspired by delicate silky fabrics, lingerie, nightwear, details, ruffles, gathers and pleats.  Incorporating the meaning of Resene Blue Moon into y design by creating an elegant side of street style.  In the night is a 2 piece co-ord set with ruffles, rushing and all things feminine.  From the coral found in the sea, icing on a cupcake, flowers and the ocean, inspired to make a design based on my mood board’s curves, layering and shapes.
