Colour: Resene Gumboot

"I hoped to showcase Resene Gumboot with an abstract style because I feel it brings more emotion to the name.

The clouds were creeping and darkening by the second. Rain continued to fall. A storm was brewing. Her gumboots were dark and sinister and she wore them to match her kiwiana and dark attire, consisting of Swanndri jackets and old stubbies.

Gumboots are an outwear item so taking that into consideration I designed a coat out of the silhouette of the iconic Swanndri jacket.

I wanted the model in short shorts to take the look out of a strictly outerwear category."
