What you’ll need:
Real eggs, Needle, Bowl, Paintbrush(es), Resene testpot paints.
Hand-paint your own original designs onto either whole or hand-blown eggs. (To hand- blow, prick a 2mm hole into the egg’s top and bottom and over a bowl, blow through the top hole so that the egg slowly filters out.)
Once prepared, paint your eggs in a selection of gorgeous Easter tones from Resene. We've used two coats of base colour in Resene Cupid, Resene Pale Rose, Resene Vanilla Ice, Resene Sauvignon, Resene Refresh, Resene French Pass, Resene Cut Glass, Resene Anise, Resene Groovy, Resene Feijoa and Resene Snowy Mint. Once the base coats are dry, paint your original designs. Finally, to add extra sparkle, add touches of metallic using the Resene FX Metallic range. We used Resene Gold Dust and Resene Gold.
What you’ll need:
Egg cups, Resene sealer, Paintbrush(es), Resene testpot paints.
Firstly, give china or plastic egg cups a quick coat with Resene Quick Dry or Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer and leave to dry for at least two hours.
Once dry, paint each egg cup entirely with two coats of pastel tones. Our pinks are Resene Cupid, Resene Pale Rose, Resene Vanilla Ice and Resene Sauvignon, and our blues are Resene Refresh, Resene French Pass and Resene Cut Glass.
Once dry, paint the insides of the cups with two applications of Resene Gold from the Resene FX Metallic range, drying thoroughly between coats.
What you’ll need:
Used egg cartons, Paintbrush(es), Shredded paper, Decorations, Resene testpot paints.
Upcycle six-pack egg cartons into truly original packages.
Carefully peel off any branding on your cartons, lightly sanding any stubborn sticky bits. Paint each entire carton inside and out with two coats of Resene paint. We used Resene Vanilla Ice, Resene Cut Glass and Resene Snowy Mint. Once dry, fill each pocket with shredded paper and an Easter treat.
Seal your parcel with pretty ribbon and fasten a fresh or faux flower to the top. For an alternative look, you could use feathers, baby carrots or Easter eggs as your topper.
