Your kids will love this super-smart table and chairs with a matching noticeboard. The patterns on the chair are drawn in chalk then sealed on so they don't smudge off of your kids' clothes.
Give the table and chairs a very light sand to smooth out any bumps and then wipe down with a damp cloth. Let dry.
Apply one coat of Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer, cutting in with the brush and then use the roller to apply to the table and chairs.
Apply two coats of Resene Double Cod Grey to the table-top and chair backs and seats, using the brush and roller.
Apply two coats of Resene Double Alabaster to the table and chair legs using the brush and roller
Once the table and chairs are dry apply patterns to chair backs and seats using the chalk pen. You could also use a paint brush and the Resene Double Alabaster paint or another colour for this.
Once the patterns have dried, apply two coats of Resene Aquaclear Gloss using the cutting in brush and then roller.

Try decorating with any patterns you like. Try alternating a different pattern on each area or each chair.
You could paint the top of the table with Resene Blackboard Paint so it could be a space to draw with chalk. We recommend using normal chalk only, as chalk pens tend to be permanent.
Experiment with other colour combinations to suit your space. Be inspired by the Resene KidzColour collection; pick up a free colour chart at your local Resene ColorShop.
