How to make dinosaur storage jars and a stenciled pinboard

Dinosaur storage jar lids

Instructions:

Step 1:  Paint a thin layer of Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer over the outside of the jar lid and your plastic toy and leave it to dry.

Step 2:  Glue the dinosaurs' feet to the lid and then set aside until the glue is set.

Step 3:  Paint the outside of the lid and the dinosaur with your choice of Resene paint colours. Depending on the colour, you may need to do two coats.

Hint:  Use the jars to store drawing pins or art supplies.

Decorative pinboard

Instructions:

Step 1:  Carefully tape your stencils in place with masking tape, so they don't move.

Step 2:  Paint over the stencil with the Resene paint of your choice.

Hint:  For a crisper result, use the pencil to draw around the dinosaur stencil and then use an artist's brush to paint it in. You can also add a few dots in a contrasting colour.
