How to paint a garage wall

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need

Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Triple Dune – use the Resene CoolColour version to reflect more of the sun’s energy than a standard colour
Resene Moss & Mould Killer
Resene Paint Prep and Housewash
Rubber gloves
Stiff-bristled brush

To get the look: Mark painted the window frame with Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Alert Tan

Other ideas: For a darker effect, paint the garage wall with Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Nero.

Step one
Mix Resene Moss & Mould Killer with clean water following the instructions on pack.

Step two
Wearing rubber gloves, apply the solution to the garage wall with a garden sprayer and leave for 48 hours.

Step three
Mix one part Resene Paint Prep and Housewash to three parts clean water.

Step four
Wearing rubber gloves, scrub the solution across the garage wall with a stiff-bristled brush.

Step five
Rinse off the solution with clean water and allow the garage wall to dry.

Step six
Spot prime any areas of bare concrete with Resene Concrete Primer and allow to dry.

Step seven
Apply one coat of Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Triple Dune to the garage wall and allow to dry.

Step eight
Apply a second coat of Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Triple Dune to the garage wall and allow to dry.
