Quay Street, Auckland
Creative Spaces delivered a fitout that is functional, fit for purpose, and aesthetically well-designed, all of which was achieved within tight budget and time limitations.
Creative Spaces were selected by the newly formed Auckland Tourism, Events and Development (ATEED) to undertake the design and project management of their new three floor premises at Princes Wharf.
Creative Spaces delivered a fitout that is functional, fit for purpose, and aesthetically well-designed, all of which was achieved within tight budget and time limitations.
As a public sector organisation, mindful of expenditure, the client requested the reuse of a significant amount of soft fitout from their previous offices, and required prudent design of the hard fitout components. Working within these constraints, the end result is stylish and enjoyable to work in.
The showcase reception/waiting and boardroom areas all open out to create a lively space convenient for entertaining. Feature graphics to the Reception glazing were inspired by adjacent iconic Auckland landmarks, such as Rangitoto, and sailing on the Hauraki Gulf. And this inspiration is further seen in the selection of colour throughout the fitout, reflecting both water and land.
Resene Pelorous is used as a feature to all the doors within the fitout, a summery vibrant blue, at one with water. Feature walls, of Resene Dingley and Resene Koru, create a fresh, clear and invigorating atmosphere, invoking the greens of land and forest. The wall and breakout areas are predominantly neutral in Resene Rice Cake with accents of vibrant colour, such as Resene Wasabi to the island bench, and splashes of red and green in the furniture selection. Pivot doors are finished in Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Half Tea.
