DIY Invasion Paint Retail Store and Warehouse

A selection of bold colours have been used to create a fun and inviting atmosphere that is not normally associated with paint stores in Australia.

Keeping a black backdrop on the walls, the products and the splashes of colour really stand out and pop! Combined with a white floor, this helped retain a sense of space without the closing-in effect that the black walls created.

Although the products created a world of colour, it was time for some wow factor. This was achieved with a staircase in a rainbow kaleidoscope of colours – Resene Scrumptious, Resene Crash Hot, Resene Get Reddy, Resene Balloon, Resene Hi Jinx, Resene Rubber Duck, Resene Fizz, Resene Lickety Split, Resene Wham, Resene Salem, Resene Sports Star, Resene Resolution Blue, Resene Deep Koamaru, Resene Clowning Around and Resene Fun Fair.

The reason for the idea is not just because the store team love colour but because everyone does. There is a spot in every household for a little splash of colour whether it be a feature wall, a piece of furniture or ornament no matter how small. By physically viewing these Resene colours in a fun concept clients can see how colour can transform a space.

When parents bring their children into the store they start to run up and down the treads pin pointing the colours they love the most. Now the store team can work with the client in choosing a colour scheme or feature wall to paint in their children’s room because they have interacted with the colours on the staircase.
