Reflecting Helen's holistic approach to dentistry, gold was the obvious colour choice for the surgery's interior. Gold is known to stabilise the emotional system, alleviate tension and stress and to amplify positive feelings. It radiates a warm, soothing energy vibration that is nourishing to the body and aids healing.

Fresco wallpaper takes centre stage in reception. Its bold, earthy richness creates a welcoming environment, illuminating and enhancing everything around it. This is teamed with blackened chocolate walls in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen in Resene Bokara Grey, blackened chocolate doors in Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss, black gloss chandeliers, honey coloured upholstered leather chairs and Turkish oxide sheers adding multiple layers of texture, sophistication and elegance to the space, giving it a sensuous, masculine, club lounge feel.

This is juxtaposed with a whimsical, abstract floral, custom-designed carpet, which delivers softness, freshness and simplicity, evoking femininity and purity.

The transition through the minimalist hallway coloured with Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen in Resene Quarter Cougar lit with an oversized silk diffused wall light creates a resting space, before entering Helen's surgery. Doors are in the same hue with the semi-gloss sheen of Resene Lustacryl. The walls are painted Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen in Resene Double Spanish White, with the same hue repeated on doors using Resene Lustacryl, a warm backdrop to the rich tones of the artwork and custom leather upholstery. Ceiling panels are finished in Resene Athens Grey.

The result is a restful and inspiring ambience that promotes well-being for visitors, patients, and employees in a workplace that is elegant and functional – artfully reflecting the values of this unique dental practice.
