Ringley Estate is a new subdivision located in St Johns Hill, Wanganui. This home is three bedrooms, plus office finished in a mixture of both brick and LINEA®. The brief was to create a colour scheme to contrast the Blackwell coloured brick. The aim was to give the home a slight edge of difference to the other new homes in the street.
The LINEA® walls were painted Resene Truffle to complement the Titania windows. This gives a crisp contrast against the darkness of the brick. The roof and garage are COLORSTEEL® Ironsand with fascias to match. Resene Double Oilskin is used on the LINEA® above the windows and portico posts.
The interior of the home has been painted in complementary neutrals.
The colour scheme was chosen to add contrast to the brick. It was decided a sharp contrast would look crisp. Other new homes in the subdivision have been popping up in darker shades so the move to a lighter shade sets this home apart from the rest of the new homes.
The client liked the idea of black vs white. With brick the darker shades are a little restricting so Blackwell was opted for due to its dark rich texture and colouring. The Resene Black shiny door adds the finishing touch beautifully offsetting the Resene Truffle walls.
