This home sits on an isthmus with a view to the container ships with their brightly coloured containers stacked high passing by.
On still nights you can feel the prop rotations vibrating in the calm. On public holidays, the navy with their grey battleships salute with canons blazing. It was these vessels of the sea that provided inspiration for the colour selection.
Outside Resene Quarter Masala and Resene Quarter Concrete work well together for a modern grey look. Inside Resene Quarter Masala is teamed with variants of Resene Tea and pops of colour with Resene Yellow Submarine on selected joinery and Resene Flame Red on the handrail and bath.
These bold colours are surprising without overpowering the neutral colour palette backdrop.
