The attached photos show before and after photos of a rusted roof cleaned and then sprayed with Resene Alumastic.
The roof was waterblasted with a turbo head unit using 3000 psi and 33 lpm.
Resene Alumastic was then sprayed using industrial 521 tip as per the paint specification, with an estimated film build 150-175 microns. The roof is corrugated and was relatively easy to coat. If painting trough section roofs it is advisable to roll a coat on the leading edge of the upstand first using an Easy Reach roller and a No.5 sleeve (mohair).
Maintenance over the coming years will be straightforward. The roof will need an annual inspection. The building owner and/or occupier simply has to identify any rust breakouts then mix up a litre of Resene Alumastic (1:1 Mix0) and apply using a disposable brush.
