As well as making our communities bright, colourful and creative, mural art has also been shown to reduce anti-social behaviour such as littering and graffiti and increase community pride.

Resene is proud to work with Keep New Zealand Beautiful with the Paint New Zealand Beautiful programme to help beautify our communities.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful and Resene WallWorthy competition

This competition gives local early childhood centres, schools and youth groups the chance to tell their local history, celebrate a local hero or communicate a nature or conservation theme on a wall in their community.

Teach your kids the importance of Keeping New Zealand Beautiful by getting them involved in creating the design and bringing it to life!

Winning submissions receive a $750 Resene paint voucher, drop cloth and high vis vests, as well a $500 donation if the mural is completed by the end of the school year.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful and Resene Nature Murals competition

The Nature Murals Competition offers local artists the opportunity to get their art out into the public arena!

If you’re an up and coming, or even an establish artist all you need to do is identify a blank wall in your community, submit a mural design that incorporates an environmental message and enter our competition. Easy!

Winning submissions receive a $1000 grant and $750 towards the paint for their mural.

Painting New Zealand Beautiful with Woman magazine and NZ artists to support Keep New Zealand Beautiful

Kiwi artists are invited to paint landscapes of New Zealand using Resene paint colours to feature in Woman magazine and be auctioned off to support Keep New Zealand Beautiful. New art is created each quarter. View the latest artworks online.

Free recycled paint available

Resene supplies free 100% recycled paint from the Resene PaintWise recycling programme to local community groups and councils to help cover graffiti. If you have a place in your community that is affected by graffiti, apply for recycled paint online.
