Tineka and Sam bought their first home, a fixer upper in need of some TLC. They stripped back wallpaper took out walls and odd little nooks and altered the kitchen and bathroom to make a more open plan larger feeling home for their family of six.
They wanted a light airy yet warm feel to their home, which they achieved using the Karen Walker Paints range. Resene Quarter Robin Egg Blue was applied on all living area walls, the kitchen and hallway with Resene Blanched Pink as a feature on the front door and Resene Black White trims throughout. In their girl's room it is paired with fun Resene Wallpaper Collection 90322.
The main bedroom is a warm Resene Bianca with Resene Clover on the fireplace. Against the original wood surround it has become a real feature in the bedroom. The large bathroom is Resene Oxygen with a cool yet warm feel to it. The kitchen has a real homely modern yet classic feel to it combining the ply kitchen cupboards with a fresh white benchtop and pressed metal full wall splashback.
