Black meets white

As a busy working mother of a toddler boy, Hannah who loves renovation and home decoration. She's also a daughter of a painter. Her dad makes his living out of painting and has generously helped with painting throughout Hannah's seven year journey of renovation. Hannah's Dad lets her decides everything about her renovation except for the paint. He always says, if you want quality paint which will last, go for Resene.

So, Hannah has been in and out of the Resene ColorShop for years, buying numerous tins of paint, testpots and talking to the colour consultant.

Painting is one of Hannah's favourite parts of a renovation. It gives a real wow moment seeing freshly painted wall in the colour that has been chosen.

Hannah's favourite colours are white, black and every grey in between. She loves the combination of Resene Sea Fog and Resene Alabaster. It creates the perfect blank canvas for her to work with. Then Hannah will throw some other colours in to have a bit of fun, like the popping red colour door in Resene Poppy to welcome everyone coming through our door.

The rest of the exterior is painted in Resene Triple Rakaia on weatherboards, Resene Alabaster on trim and Resene Nocturnal on the veranda and roof.

Most interior walls are finished in Resene Sea Fog with joinery in Resene Alabaster. The master bedroom features Resene Shark, while the guest bedroom is in Resene Periglacial Blue from the Karen Walker Paints collection. Resene Sea Fog is repeated in the sleepout with the ceiling light in Resene Pohutukawa.
