Jo's grandchildren are very lucky indeed. What was once a boring bland room with no personality, the room is now a fun space for the grandchildren to enjoy.
Jo decided to cover half the walls in tongue-and-groove panels to give the room some texture, which was then painted in Resene Dark Slate. Because it's a very small room Jo wanted to give it some impact and didn't want to do the usual curtains or blinds so she made a barn door slider for the window.
Jo wanted a colour totally different so with the help of the red handbag (which was the colour she wanted) and a staff member from the Resene ColorShop she chose Resene Mexican Red. Wow the colours are amazing together!
To finish it all off Jo painted the rest of the room in Resene Double Merino.
Jo also used the Resene Mexican Red as small bits of trim on the bunny glasses and the shadow box.
Jo wants to share that it's possible to do amazing things with colours in small spaces. Just give it a go!
Thanks to Jo.
