Kristy and her partner purchased an outdated 1960s house. They decided to start from scratch and gutted the house back to its frames which allowed them to move a few rooms/walls around to create the space they wanted. They worked nearly every day/night on the house trying to get things done as soon as possible.
Creating a feature wall
They have built a few houses in the past and have always used Resene paints as their choice of paint.
They wanted to create a feature wall and originally thought of a tiled feature wall but decided to choose one of Resene’s many paint choices instead. After researching online and using the Resene colour library Kristy found the colour Resene Mountain Mist, which she loved, so they decided instead of tiling they would paint a wall in the living room with the colour, teamed with Resene Double Sea Fog on adjacent walls and Resene Black White on the ceiling and architraves.
After the painter was finished in the living room, Kristy loved it so much she had him do it as the feature wall in the master bedroom and carry the colour through to the entrance wall.
There is still work to be done as they are waiting for finer weather to get outside and paint the exterior which is smooth finish plaster and vertical Linea in Resene Half Masala and Resene Half Taupe Grey.
Thanks to Kristy.
